Cops moved in after huge crowds mingled together during the day breaking strict social distancing and mass gathering rules.
Officers were filmed swooping on the large groups of youngsters who were drinking illegally in a public space on the hottest day of the year.

They confiscated alcohol before taking the decision to clear the area through the evening as a police helicopter hovered overhead.
People in and around the park took to Twitter to vent their anger.

Inspector Lesley Docherty, of Partick Police Office, said: "Officers attended Kelvingrove Park this evening because a large number of people were congregating in the park, mainly drinking alcohol in contravention of local byelaws.
